Our group care services operate under a family-centred practice, and we apply a solution-focused approach to working with children, youth, and families. Our programs include short-term or long-term care for children and youth, between the ages of 6 and 17 years, who struggle with emotional, behavioural, and/or psychiatric difficulties. When our clients enter the programs their at-risk behaviours are identified, and program completion is determined by a measured reduction of the at-risk behaviours and the demonstrated development or enhancement of positive social behaviours.
The intensive group care has several houses with programs focusing on:
Intermediate treatment group care provides living quarters and programming to assist youth in transitioning from intensive treatment to the community by providing and helping them develop their own support systems.
Our supported independent living services provide a comfortable environment for children and youth who require some help developing life skills. Our care facilities include:
Serenity House is dedicated to adults with a mental health diagnosis. The house is located in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, where adult community support services are also available.

We acknowledge Treaty 6 territory—the traditional and ancestral territory of the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux , Nakota Sioux and Métis Peoples. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands since time immemorial. We respect their histories, languages, and cultures whose presence continues to enrich our community. We are grateful for the traditional Elders and Knowledge Keepers who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we are visiting and striving to live in harmony with.
We welcome your questions and comments.
